Sony launches new £949 Walkman
Sony has announced a new £949 Walkman at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The NW-ZX2 has a battery life of 60 hours and has 128GB memory, or 256GB with a microSD card and will go on sale in the next few months.
The player, which is solid and surprisingly heavy, is made of aluminium alloy and features a faux leather back. With its luxury looks and superior listening experience it is unashamedly aimed at the hardcore audiophile at the high end of the market.
The original cassette Walkman went on to sell 220 million units after its launch in 1979.
