Samsung launches the new Galaxy S5 smartphone

Samsung today launched the Galaxy S5 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona. The latest S series smartphone has a smart new design and a number of new features whilst slightly increasing the size of the display from 5in to 5.1in. However the screen resolution of the phone's screen has not been increased and remains at 1,080 x 1,920, 

The upgraded smartphone is now waterproof, more durable and has a fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone as well as pay for online shopping via PayPal. They have also made improvements to the camera with faster focusing and an increase in resolution to 16 megapixels.

Samsung also announced more wearable technology with the Fit band and Gear smartwatches.
