iPhone 5C and 5S go on sale today

Apple released the iPhone 5C and 5S to the masses today but confirmed that there would be shortages of the iPhone 5, noting that the phone has already sold out and is in limited supply of certain models in various outlets. The gold version is especially rare with the online UK and US stores now showing the gold iPhone as not being available until October at the earliest. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Apple has instructed its suppliers to increase production of the gold version as it seeing much higher demand than anticipated.
