Apple announces new iPhones, iPad Pro and refreshed Apple TV
At today's event in San Francisco, Apple announced their newest iPhones, a much larger iPad called the iPad Pro and a refresh of Apple TV, their set top TV box.
Arguably the most exciting product to be announced was the iPad Pro, a huge new tablet computer with a 12.9in (32.8cm) display. The iPad Pro is Apple's attempt to breathe life into the iPad range which has seen sales slow over the past couple of years. With processing power that is equal to most desktop computers and a much more sensitive touch screen to provide a much accurate control. In addition, the firm announced a stylus called the Apple Pencil, which has sensors in its tip to help mimic the effect of using a real pencil on paper including the ability to tilt the Pencil to provide shading.

The new iPhones (the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus) are very similar in design to the previous model but are encased in a new stronger aluminium alloy. The phones are slightly thicker to incorporate the new 3D Touch feature which can sense how deeply the display is pressed and provides feedback in the form of subtle taps. The cameras on both sides of the phone are much improved with the main iSight camera incorporating a 12-megapixel sensor. The 6s introduces a new way of sharing photos with "Live Photos". This captures the moments just before and after a picture is taken and then can display those few seconds as a short moving video.
